Xanitalia, Signoretti has sold: "It's in good hands, I'm calm. I started 41 years ago in a garage"

Pesaro, July 5, 2025 – “I would never have sold to an investment fund because I would not have had any certainties about the future of the company and the staff. And I have had many funds knocking on the door”. Words of Franco Signoretti, the other evening former owner of Xanitalia. Because after months of negotiations with several 'stops', he sold the one hundred percent of the shares to the Alfa Parf company of Bergamo .

One of his clients. A company with a turnover of 500 million, 2,500 employees, in the hands of a Roberto Franchina family that has a minority shareholder, Attilio Brambilla. Yesterday morning the new owners were in the factory and met with the employees “and I must say that there was a lot of emotion – Signoretti continues –. It was a painful decision that weighed heavily on me because I founded this company 41 years ago, in a garage. I made it grow and took it all over the world. And I took this step when I was certain that it would be in good hands, serious people and true gentlemen: Xanitalia will have a very positive future both in terms of employment and development and in terms of repercussions for the city. Only when I had these certainties did I sign and I must say with a lot of suffering”.

Can a company sale be defined as an ethical operation? Claudio Sanchioni, partner of the Marchionni firm, has followed all the negotiations step by step and has no doubts. “Franco Signoretti has done a masterpiece: when the negotiations stalled last winter it was because he wanted all the certainties possible, even in terms of quality. I can say it with certainty: if he had sold to the funds he would have collected many more millions. But he didn’t want to do it. In all my years of career, it was the best operation I have done...”.

How did Alfa Parf arrive? “They were already our customers for depilatory waxing, because it was a production segment that they lacked – Signoretti continues – , very good and very serious people so it seemed to me that they were the ideal partner for us because they offered all the guarantees. I don't know what would have happened to the company if I had sold to one of the many investment funds that came forward”.

In 2024 Xanitalia closed with a turnover of 35 million and an EBITDA of 8 million and yesterday morning the new owners, meeting the staff - 135 employees - said: "This is a factory that works very well and therefore we do not want to touch anything". Last winter Franco Signoretti, who had already taken the sale into account, had separated the production from Xanitalia Pro, a sales company that sells products of all types specifically for the sector linked to the world of beauty and beyond.

A complex operation, the one that was completed: the sale concerns only the industrial production that was distributed across eight warehouses, the largest of 6000 square meters, properties that all remain the property of Signoretti. The entrepreneur also produced the bases for beauty creams for well-known international brands. He is a well-known figure: he renovated and turned Palazzo Perticari along the Corso into a museum, then bought Villa Bucci on Viale della Repubblica and also resigned from Confindustria because he was against the merger with the one in Ancona.
